Street Car
Attended East High, took bus and streetcar to go to and from school..lettered in football (played position of center on “C” team playing defense an offense every game except one when I had to sit on bench because i had injured my back in a previous game…..played point guard on “C” basketball team and was given “All-City” recognition…played #1 doubles on tennis team with my cousin partner, Rex Williams…lost in state finals to Lehi whom we had beaten earlier in the year…..parents never came to see me play any of those sports events, but I did not care…..in fact, I would have been nervous had they been watching…school officer being president of school senate organization
Member of Beta Alpha Chi Fraternity
CRW worked at Memory Grove and made $5 per day.
